OMEGA SEAMASTER 

 

Seamaster, the longest product line still produced by Omega. It is also, the first waterproof watch Omega and the oldest current Omega's collection, "The Omega Seamaster is a line of manual winding, automatic, chronometer and quartz watches that Omega has produces since 1948." 

 

Originally, it was produced in 1932 based upon designs made for the British Royal Navy to be used in submarines during the war. The Omega Seamaster turned out to also be useful for watches and in 1948 it debuted in celebration of Omega's 100th anniversary. "The model was an immediate hit and became the brand’s best seller."

Today, we are presenting a stunning timepiece: a pre-owned Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M automatic wristwatch, reference 220.10.43.22.03.001, dating from 2021. Key features include anti-magnetic technology, chronometer certification, a date indicator, Master Chronometer certification, a screw-in crown, GMT/worldtimer functionality, a time zone feature, and a transparent caseback.

 

As a certified chronometer, this self-winding watch is powered by the OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8938, which has been certified to the highest industry standard by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). It includes GMT/worldtimer capabilities, a date indicator, 38 jewels, a 60-hour power reserve, and operates at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour. Swiss made.

 

It is distinguished by its unique blue dial. The exterior section features a sun-brushed blue finish with vertical teak stripes and a circle of global destinations in red (GMT), silver ( 1h in summer), and blue (places without daylight savings). The center of the dial has a 24-hour glass ring, with light blue indicating daytime and dark blue representing night. The vision of Earth is laser-ablated onto a grade 5 titanium plate, creating the blue oceans and the relief of the continents. The Earth’s contrasting colors are produced naturally by the laser’s chemical reaction. Luminous silvered hands and indexes complete the look. The dial is signed with the Omega logo, and the date window is positioned at 6 o’clock.

 

This watch is housed in a 43mm round stainless steel case, featuring a wave-edged design on the back and a transparent caseback. It is water-resistant to 15 bar (150 m / 500 ft) and protected by a domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides.

 

Its comes with the original Omega polished and brushed bracelet, secured by a butterfly clasp. The bracelet fits wrists up to 8" (20.3 cm) and includes an extra link. It also comes with the original Omega Operating Instructions booklet, International Warranty, Pictograms, Master Chronometer cards, Omega card holder, and the original double box.
