The witty twist, "like lasagna," refers to the silent 'G' in the word, emphasising that truly powerful people go about their business quietly, letting their actions speak for themselves.

Gucci understood this in the design of this G Timeless chronograph, which also carries within it a dual meaning. Timeless appeal is simultaneously a quality that watch designers want to accomplish, but no watch could literally be 'timeless' as it would render the object obsolete. The design of this watch is powerful and yet quiet, not drawing to much attention to itself.
